Removable Partial Dentures
Houston, TX

Rendering of removable partial dentures at Alexandra Garcia, DDS, MS in Houston, TXTooth loss is a common problem in adults, but it is one that they often do not want to talk about, especially if the teeth are missing from a place that is not obvious. Tooth loss can lead to bone loss in your jaw. It can also cause your other teeth to shift, which will then affect your bite. If you are missing several teeth, we here at Alexandra Garcia, DDS, MS want to know about it. One common way to replace missing teeth is with removable partial dentures. They can replace your missing teeth, and no one will have to know that you are wearing them.

What You Need to Know About Removeable Partial Dentures

Removable partial dentures are an easy and affordable way to replace missing teeth. Here are a few things that you will want to know if you get removable partial dentures.

When you first come into our office, we will make a mold of your mouth. We will want to make sure that your new partial dentures will fit properly. We could also give you a temporary denture to wear while your new dentures are being made in our lab.

Your new removable partial dentures will be made to match your teeth and gums. The artificial gums for the dentures will perfectly match your gums, and the teeth will be shaped to match your teeth. They will also be the same color as your teeth.

The new removable partial dentures will include a part that will hold the dentures better in your mouth. It might take a little bit of time to get used to the way that they feel. You might also need a few days to perfect putting them in your mouth and taking them out. After a little while, you will be able to do it without thinking.

You need to take good care of your remaining teeth as well as the dentures. Continue to brush and floss your natural teeth. You will also want to brush your removable partial dentures. You can take them out of your mouth to brush them if you want.

One thing that is extremely important when it comes to your removable partial dentures; they need to remain wet. As soon as you take them out, it would help if you soaked them. You can also use a cleaning tablet if you would like to take care of any potential stains.

We Can Help Check Your Dentures for Fit and Comfort

We will check your removable partial dentures to make sure that they fit correctly and that they continue to be comfortable. Over time, you might lose bone in your jaw because of the missing teeth. If that is the case, we will make adjustments as needed.

Removable partial dentures will help you to be able to eat and talk like normal again. They will also help to stop the shifting of your teeth due to tooth loss. Here at Alexandra Garcia, DDS, MS, we would like to find a solution if you have lost teeth. Call us at (346) 250-2930 so that you will be able to eat like normal once again.
