Veneers are a simple and quick way of remedying discolored teeth and providing a smile makeover. Veneers are thin films of porcelain that are placed on the teeth to disguise discolored enamel.

Veneers can also be used to repair fractures and fill up small cavities. They are mainly used to improve cosmetic appearances. Veneers are permanent implants, and they can only be removed at a dental clinic. We are experts when it comes to smile makeovers and teeth coloration solutions. Veneer placement is one of our simplest but most effective solutions.

Reasons to Get Veneers

Veneers are a less invasive and intrusive method of repairing damaged or colored teeth. Veneers are attached to the enamel of your tooth, and they are ideal for the front teeth.
Veneers are made of porcelain which is very attractive. They improve your cosmetic appearance and give you a glowing smile. Veneers are also stain resistant and are easy to maintain when compared to other teeth implants. You simply need to maintain proper dental hygiene, and they should look as good as new for many years to come.

Veneers also help to strengthen your teeth. If your tooth has been fractured or chipped, it is bound to be a bit thinner, but veneers can restore the normal thickness and strength of your tooth. You can use your veneered teeth just as you would use your ordinary teeth.

Installing Veneers

Installing veneers is simple and quick, especially if you have no underlying dental problems. Our dentist will first take an impression of the teeth that need repair. The impression is used to model the veneer. The veneers are made of porcelain which is known to blend well with the natural color of teeth.

Our dentist will then file your teeth to remove a little bit of your enamel. The tooth needs to be a bit rough so that the veneer can properly adhere to it. The veneer will then be permanently cemented onto the tooth. A laser beam is applied to the veneer to cure it and ensure it properly adheres on the tooth. The veneer is then shaped, polished and smoothened.

The process can take two or three appointments with our dentist depending on how many teeth have to be worked on.

Veneers are permanent and long-lasting. Despite being durable, though, they are not impervious so you should take proper care of them. It will help if you make regular appointments with us so we can monitor them and give them a thorough cleaning when needed.

Call Alexandra Garcia, DDS, MS at (346) 250-2930 today if you have any questions about veneers. Better yet, book an appointment with us if you have any teeth you need to be repaired. We will be more than happy to help you regain your oral health and a bright smile.
